  • let the smallest side of the rectangle be x cm.
  • So diagonal = 2 x cm.

We know that ,

  • Diagonal = √l² + b²

A/q, √ l² + x² = 2 x

Squaring both side , we get

⇒ l² + x² = 4 x ²

⇒ l² = 3 x²

∴ l = √ 3 x² = x √3.

  • So ratio of Length to its breadth = x √3 : x

                                                                 = √3 : 1.
