Answer:Diagonal of the rectangle = 1m = 100 cm

Length of the rectangle =96 cm

Now using Pythagoras theorem which states:

(H)sq =(B)sq +(A)sq

(100)sq=(96)sq+(A)sq

10000=9216+(A)sq

10000-9216=(A)sq

784=(A)sq

Underroot 784 =A or width

28 = width


Now,

Area = l*b

96*28

2688 cm or 26.88 m
