The diagonal of a rectangular field is 15 m  and its area is 108 sq. m. What will be the  total expenditure in fencing the field at the  rate of 5 per metre ?​

Area of Rectangle = Length * Breadth = 108 --->  1

Diagonal = 15

⇒ $\sqrt{l^2 + b^2} = 15$

⇒ l^2 + b^2 = 15^2

⇒ l^2 + b^2 = 225

⇒ ( l + b)^2 = l^2 + b^2 + 2 lb = 225 + 2 * 108

⇒ 441

⇒ l + b = 21

Finding Perimeter of rectangle

⇒ 2(l + b)

⇒⇒2 * 21

⇒ 42 m

Finding total Cost

⇒ 42 * 5

⇒ Rs. 210

Therefore , the total  Expenditure in fencing the field at the rate of 5 per metre is Rs. 210
