Given :-

Diagonal d1 = 48 cm

Diagonal d2 = 20 cm

To find :-

Area of the rhombus

perimeter of the rhombus

Solution :-

Area = ½ × Product of diagonals

= ½ × d1 × d2

= ½ × 48 × 20

= 48 × 10

= 480 cm²

Let 'a' be the side in the given rhombus ABCD and AO and BO be the half of the diagonals.

Then, by Pythagoras' theorem :-

AB² = AO² + BO²

a² = (10)² + (48)²

a² = 100 + 576

a = √676

a = 26 cm

Therefore,

Perimeter = 4 × side

= 4 × a

= 4 × 26

= 104 cm
