Hi mate

Once you helped me and now is my time to prove that I can help

Question given to solve

The diaognal of a rombas is 16 cm and 30 cm respectively. Find its Perimeter.

Answer-

First let us draw a rough figure for understanding it better.(in attachment)

Here I have marked it with points like ABCD

Now,

In the figure

Diagonals AC=30cm

Diagonal DB=16cm.

Since the diagonals of the rhombus bisect at right angle to each other.

therefore \: od =  \frac{db}{2}

 =  \frac{16}{2}

 = 8

and \: oc =  \frac{ac}{2}

 =  \frac{30}{2}

 = 15

Now, In right angle triangle DOC,

According to the pythogoras theorum

 ({dc})^{2}  =  ({od})^{2}  + ( {co})^{2}

 =  >  ({dc})^{2}  =   ({8})^{2}  + ( {15})^{2}

 =  >  ({dc})^{2}  = 64 + 225

 =  > ({dc})^{2}  = 289

  = > dc  =  \sqrt{289}  = 17

So therefore DC=17cm

Yay!!!

We finally found out the value dc that is 17 cm

Now,

We know,

Perimeter of the rhombus=4× side

So therefore

Perimeter of the rhombus=4× side

=4×17=68cm

Thus, the perimeter of rhombus is 68 cm.

Hope it helps you mate!!
