the diagonal of a square is 10cm. find its area.​

Answer:

diagonal = side √2

side = x

10 = x√2

x = 10/√2

by rationalising

10/√2 ×√2/√2 = 10√2/2

= 5√2

side = 5√2 cm

area = side ×side

= 5√2×5√2

= 25×2

= 50cm^2.
