diagonal of square = 12 cm

NOTE:- We know that square is a rhombus

area of rhombus = 1/2 × d1 × d2

diagonal 1 = diagonal 2  [ diagonals of a square are equal ]

area of square = 1/2 × 12 × 12

area = 6 × 12

       = 72 cm²

∴ area of the square is 72 cm²

side of square = √area

side = √72

       = 6√2

∴ the side of the square is 6√2 cm.
