let side of square be x

using Pythagoras theorem

x^2 + x^2 = 15^2

2x^2= 225

x^2=225/2
x=
15 \div  \sqrt{2}
x=15√2/2
hence side of square is 15√2/2

Let the side of square be a

Using Pythagoras theoram

diagonal =  \sqrt{ {a}^{2}  +  {a}^{2} }  \\  =  \sqrt{2 {a}^{2} }  \\  = a \sqrt{2}
diagonal = 15 \\ a \sqrt{2}  = 15 \\ a =  \frac{15}{ \sqrt{2} }
