Let side of square be x

by Pythagoras theorem,

x²+x²=(42.3)²

2x²=1789.29

x²=894.645                    ..........(i)

x=√894.645cm

or x=29√53.645cm

area of square=x²

from (i),

x²=894.645

∴area of square=894.645cm²
