Answer :-

  • The area of quadrilateral-shaped field is 300m².

Step-by-step explanation:

To Find :-

  • The area of a quadrilateral-shaped field

Solution:

Given that,

  • The diagonal of quadrilateral shaped field is 24m
  • The perpendiculars dropped the diagonal from the remaining opposite vertices are 10m and 15m

As we know that,

Area of quadrilateral = [ 1/2 × d × ( h₁ + h ) ] sq. units,

Where,

  • d = diagonal of quadrilateral-shaped field.
  • h₁ and h are perpendiculars dropped the diagonal from the remaining opposite vertices

Therefore,

=> [ 1/2 × 24 × ( 10 + 15 ) ] m²

=> [ 1/2 × 24 × 25 ] m²

=> [ 1 × 12 × 25 ] m²

=> [ 12 × 25 ] m²

=> 300m²

Hence, The area of quadrilateral-shaped field is 300m².

Question :-

  • The diagonal of quadrilateral shaped field is 24m and the perpendiculars dropped on it from the remaining opposite vertices are 10m and 15m. Find the area of the field.

 \\

Given :-

  • Shape of Field = Quadrilateral
  • Height of Quadrilateral = 24m
  • First perpendicular = 10m
  • Second perpendicular = 15m

 \\

To Find :-

  • Area of the Quadrilateral

 \\

Solution :-

➞ Area = ½ × H × (sum of perpendicular)

➞ Area = ½ × 24 × ( 10 + 15 )

➞ Area = 12 × ( 10 + 15 )

➞ Area = 12 × 25

➞ Area of the Field = 300m²

________________

Therefore, Area of the Field = 300m²
