Let us assume the length of smaller side X.
Therefore length of diagonal is 3x.
Now let the length of longer side be y.
We know a rectangle has 4sides with each of measure 90°.
Therefore,
(3x)^2 = x^2 +y^2
9x^2 = x^2 +y^2
8x^2 = y^2
By square rooting both sides.
Y= 2x✓2.

Now ratio= (2x✓2)/X
= 2✓2 : 1.
