the diagonal of rectangular field is 60 M more than its shortest side if its longest side is 30 M more than the shortest side then find the area of the field​

Substituting in diagonal formula we get,

√((b+30)²+b²)=b+60

Squaring on both sides we get,

Expanding it and solving it we get a quadratic equation as follows:

b²+60b-2700=0

Solving it we get b as 30 and -90

Clearly, Breadth can't be negative so the breadth, length and diagonal's measures are 30m,60m and 90m respectively.

Area = l*b

=60*30 m²

=1800m²
