40-foot rope runs along the side of square B.

30-foot rope runs along the side of square A.

Side of Square A = 30 ft

=> Distance between Red Stars = Diagonal of square of 30 ft side

=> Diagonal = √(30)² + (30)²  = 30√2

=> Diagonal = 30 * 1.414

=> Diagonal = 42.42

Hence distance between two stars = 42.42 ft

Banner Length = 0 ft

Hence Banner can not fit across the length of concession stand
