Answer:

area of rhombus = d1× d2

120=3x × 5x

120=8x

120÷8= x

15=X

3x= 3×15

=45

5x=5×15

=75

Answer:

length of diagonal of given rhombus are 12 cm and 20 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

given that diagonal of Rhombus is in ratio of 3 : 5

lets assume two diagonals of rhombus be 3x and 5x.

Area of Rhombus = (d1 * d2 ) / 2 , where d1 and d2 are lenght of diagonals .

In our case d1 = 3x and d2 = 5x , and area is given as 120 cm square

substituting these values in formula of Area of rhombus we get

120 cm = (3x * 5x ) / 2

=>  120 x 2 = 15x^{2}

=> x^{2} = 240/15

=> x^{2}  = 16

=> x^{2}  = 4 x 4

=> x = 4

diagonals of rhombus are 3x = 3 x 4 = 12cm and 5x = 5 x 4 = 20cm .

Hence length of diagonal of given rhombus are 12 cm and 20 cm.
