half of both diagonals = 2 and 3/2

2 and 3/2 are perpendicular and base of a right angled triangle And hypotneuse is the side

by Pythagoras theorem

2*2+3/2*3/2=side*side

4+9/4=side*side

(16+9)/4=side*side

25/4=side*side

side=square root of 25/4=5/2

so side of rhombus is of 5/2cm
