area of rhombus = diagonals multiply by diagonals

8multiply by 10=80

area \: of \: rhombus =  \frac{1}{2}  d_{1}  \times  d_{2}

 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 10 \times 8

 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 80

 =  \frac{80}{2}

40  \: {cm}^{2}
