Step-by-step explanation:

let each side of rhombus be x cm

By Pythagoras Theorm

x^2=12^2+16^2

x^2=144+256

x^2=400

x=20cm

each side of rhombus is 20cm

Answer:

AB=BC=CD=AD=10 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

the diagonals of a rhombus are 12 centimetre and 16 cm find the length of each side of a rhombus .

=> It cannot be solved without Pythagoras theorem.

Property: The diagonal of rhombus bisected each other at right angle,so four right triangles are formed .

In Right triangle OBC,apply Pythagoras Theorem

 {(BC)}^{2}  =  {(OB)}^{2}  +  {(OC)}^{2}  \\  \\ {(BC)}^{2} =  {(8)}^{2}  + ( {6)}^{2}  \\  \\ {(BC)}^{2} = 64 + 36 \\  \\  {(BC)}^{2}  = 100 \\  \\ BC = 10 \\  \\

Sides of Rhombus are equal in length.

So,all the sides AB=BC=CD=AD=10 cm

Hope it helps you.
