the diagonals of a rhombus are 12cm Nd 16 cm. find the area and also the length of the sides of the rhombus.​

Given:-

diagonals \: of \: Rhombus

To find:-

area \: and \: length \: of \: sides

Solution:-

Let ABCD the given Rhombus:-

With AC BD diagonals bisecting each other at right angles at O.

So AO= 1÷2×12

6 cm

BD= 1÷2×16

8 cm

In right angled triangle ADB

By Pythagoreus theorem:-

(AB)²=(Ad)² + (OB)²

6² + 8²

36 + 64

(AB)²= 100

AB= 10 cm

Area of Rhombus:-

1÷2×d¹×d²

1÷2×12×16

96 cm²
