the diagonals of a rhombus are 24 cm and 10 cm long find the perimeter and area of Rhombus

According to question,

AC= 24 cm and BD=10 cm

we need to find the perimeter

AE=EC=12 cm and BE=ED=5 cm

Now, in triangle AED, By Pythagoras Theorem

AD squared = AE squared + ED squared

AD squared = 12^2 + 5^2

AD squared = 144 + 25

AD squared = 169

AD = 13

Perimeter = AB+BC+CD+DA = 13+13+13+13= 52 cm

Area = (AC x BD) / 2 = (24 x 10 )/2 = 240/2 = 120 cm squared
