29 m

Solution :

The diagonals of a rhombus intersect at right angles and bisect each other.

In the figure,

OA=402cm=20cm,OB=422cm=21cm

AB=OA2+OB2−−−−−−−−−−√=202+212−−−−−−−−√cm=841−−−√cm=29m

GIVEN :-

  • Diagonals of rhombus are 40cm , 42cm

TO FIND :-

  • Area of rhombus

FORMULA TO KNOW:-

{Area\:of\:Rhombus} = \dfrac{1}{2} d_1 d_2

Here they have given two diagonals we can find area of rhombus by using above formula Just If we substitute the values and simplify we get area of rhombus

Let,

{d_1 = 40cm}

{d_2 = 42cm}

{Area\:of\:Rhombus} = \dfrac{1}{2} d_1 d_2

=  \frac{1}{2}  \times 40cm \times 42cm

= 20cm \times 42cm

= 840cm {}^{2}

So, area of rhombus = 840cm²

KNOW MORE :-

  • Volume of cylinder = πr²h
  • T.S.A of cylinder = 2πrh + 2πr²
  • Volume of cone = ⅓ πr²h
  • C.S.A of cone = πrl
  • T.S.A of cone = πrl + πr²
  • Volume of cuboid = l × b × h
  • C.S.A of cuboid = 2(l + b)h
  • T.S.A of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + lh)
  • C.S.A of cube = 4a²
  • T.S.A of cube = 6a²
  • Volume of cube = a³
  • Volume of sphere = 4/3πr³
  • Surface area of sphere = 4πr²
  • Volume of hemisphere = ⅔ πr³
  • C.S.A of hemisphere = 2πr²
  • T.S.A of hemisphere = 3πr²
