The diagonals of a rhombus are in the ratio 5:12, if its perimeter is 104cm.

Find the length of the sides and the diagonals.​

Answer:

=> The diagonal of rhombus are in the ratio 5:12

=> It's perimeter = 104

=> perimeter = 4×sides = 104

=> side = 26cm

=> Let diagonal are 5x and 12x

=> Diagonal of rhombus are perpendicular to each other so by applying Pythagoras theorem.

=> a^2 = (5x/2)^2 + (12x/2)^2

=> 26^2 = 169^2/4

=> x=4

=> Diagonal are 5x = 20 cm and 12x = 14cm.
