The diagonals of a rhombus measure 16cm and 30 cm.Find its perimeter. how to do it

As the diagonals of rhombus are perpendicular to each other, they form 90 degree angle.
Triangle is formed as AOD.
AO is half of AC, so AO=16/2=8cm
Similarly, OD is half of BD, so OD=30/2=15 cm
AD is unknown, therefore
Applying Phytogoras theorem,
AB^2 + BC^2 =AC^2
8^2 + 15^2 = AD^2
64 + 225 = 289
289 = 17^2
so AD = 17 cm
Perimeter = 4 × s
= 4 × 17
= 68cm
