Answer:

\huge\tt\underline{quєstíσn}:

the diagonals of a rhombus measures 16cm and 30 cm,find its perimeter

\huge\tt\underline{gívєn}:

measures of diagonals of rhombus= 16cm and 30 cm

\huge\tt\underline{tσ\:fínd}

perimeter of the rhombus

\huge\tt\underline{solution}

The formula for perimeter of a rhombus where only the diagonals are known is:

p =   2 \sqrt{ {a}^{2} +  {b}^{2}  }

where,P = perimeter,and a and b are the diagonals.

with the given data:

p = 2  \sqrt{ {16}^{2} +  {30}^{2}  }

p = 2 \sqrt{256 + 900}

p =  2\sqrt{1156}

factorise to find the square root:

 p = 2\sqrt{2.2.17.17}

p = 2 \sqrt{34.34}

p = 2  \times 34

p = 68

so, perimeter of the rhombus is 68cm
