The diagonals of a rhombus pass through the center of the rhombus and are at right angles to each other. Simply use the Pythagorean theorem to find the length of the sides.

(6/2) ^2 + (8/2)^2 = side^2

3^2 + 4^2 = 25

square root of 25 is 5.
