Solution :

Let

  • ABCD is Square.
  • Its Diagonal be 72 Cm.

Now, We know

  • All sides of square be equal.
  • Angle 90°

So,

Apply Pythagoras theorem.

 \tt \dagger  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: {H}^{2}  = {P}^{2} + {B}^{2}

Here,

  • H = diagonal of Square ( 72 cm )
  • P ( sides of square 'a' )
  • B ( sides of square 'a' )

 \tt \longmapsto  {72}^{2}  =  {a}^{2}  +  {a}^{2}

\tt \longmapsto 5184 = 2 {a}^{2}

\tt \longmapsto  \dfrac{5184}{2}  =  {a}^{2}

\tt \longmapsto 2592 =  {a}^{2}

\tt \longmapsto a = 50.91 \: cm.

Therefore, the value of sides of square be 50.91 Cm.
