to \: find -

area \: of \: rhombus

solution -

area \: of \: rhombus -\:

 = \frac{1}{2} \times d1 × d2

 = \frac{1}{2} \times 8.5 \times 14

 = \frac{1}{2} \times 119

 = 59.5

Know That:

  • Every rhombus has two diagonals connecting pairs of opposite vertices, and two pairs of parallel sides.

According To The Question:

Given That:

  • Diagonals of the rhombus = 8.5cm and 14cm.

To Calculate:

  • The area of the rhombus.

Calculation:

Let d¹ and d² be the two diagonals of the rhombus.

Where,

  • d¹ = 1st diagonal of the rhombus
  • d² = 2nd diagonal of the rhombus

Then,

  • d¹ = 8.5 cm
  • and d² = 14 cm

We Already Know That,

  • Area of a Rhombus = 1/2 × (Product Of Diagonals) sq. units

Now Solving After Substituting The Values:

Area of the rhombus ➝ (1/2 × 8.5 × 14)cm²

 ⠀  ⠀  ⠀  ⠀  ⠀  ⠀  ⠀   ➝ 59.5cm²

Required Answer:-

↬ Hence, the area of the rhombus is 59.5cm².
