The diagram below shows two models of the atom. Thompson's and Rutherford's model of atoms The models can be best used to (2 points) explain that all atomic theories are incorrect prove that all theories have the same meaning show that atomic theories cannot change over time demonstrate the evolution in the structure of the atom

no ,atomic theories can change because Rutherford's gold foil experiment had given unexpected and incredible result and led to new theory . where as Thomson's model explained that atoms are electrically neutral , the results of experiment carried out by other scientists could not be explained by this model that's why proved unsuccessful and after Rutherford's theory Bohr's model of atom was more successful which led to discovery of shells valence etc

Here's ur answer.

❄ The experiments conducted by Ernest Rutherford and JJ Thomson played an important role in atomic theories.

❄ THOMSON'S MODEL ASSUMED THAT AN ATOM IS A UNIFORM SPHERE OF POSITIVE ELECTRICITY IN WHICH ELECTRONS ARE EMBEDDED AND THE ELECTRONS EMBEDDED IS SUCH THAT THE TOTAL NEGATIVE CHARGE ON ALL THE ELECTRONS IS EQUAL TO THE POSITIVE CHARGE. DO, THE ATOM AS A WHOLE IS ELECTRICALLY NEUTRAL.

❄ RUTHERFORD'S ALPHA - RAY SCATTERING EXPERIMENT PREDICTED THAT THE MOST OF THE SPACE INSIDE THE ATOM IS EMPTY AND AND THE CENTRE OF THE ATOM IS A HIGHLY POSITIVELY CHARGED NUCLEUS PRESENT.

❄ BUT THE ASSUMPTION MADE BY BOHR CONCLUDED TO SPREAD OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE STRUCTURE OF ATOM.

❄ EVEN THOUGH, EVERYONE WERE TRYING TO MAKE THE ASSUMPTION ON THE BASIS OF ATOMIC THEORY. AT THIS, WE CAN SAY THAT EVERY ATOMIC THEORY WAS PERFORMED SO AS TO KNOW ABOUT THE ATOM.

❄ THEREFORE, EVERY ATOMIC THEORY HAS SAME CONCEPTUAL MEANING.

HOPE IT HELPS!!
