Given :  3 identical circles inside a rectangle. each circle touches the other two circles and the sides of a rectangle

Radius of each circle = 28 mm

To Find : Area of Rectangle

Solution:

R = Radius of Circle = 28 mm

Joining Center of Circles will form an Equilateral Triangle of side = 2R

One side of Rectangle = R + 2R + R  = 4R

Another Side of Rectangle = R + Height of Triangle + R

=2R + Height of Triangle

Height of Triangle = √2R² - R²  = √3 R

= 2R + √3 R

= (2 + √3) R

Area of Rectangle = 4R  * (2 + √3) R

= 4  (2 + √3) R²

R = 28 mm

= 4  (2 + √3) (28)²

= 11,703.7 mm²

or  117  cm²
