The Shaded Area is 57.07 cm

Explanation:

In a square, the area is ,

x² = A

Since the side length is 10 cm and the radius is 10 cm .

It is inferred that the quarter circle is inscribed in the square,

A = πr² Area of the circle

A = πr² / 4   Area of the quarter circle is a quarter circle.

The Area shaded is,

πr₁² - (x² - πr₂² / 4 )  = Shaded Area

25π - ( 100 - 100π / 4 ) = Shaded Area

Shaded Area ≅ 57.07 cm
