the diagram shows a prism. the cross section of the prism is in the shape of a trapezium.
calculate the total surface area of the prism

GIVEN:-

height of trapezium=6cm

parallel sides =7cm and 15cm

•°• Area of trapezium:-

=>1/2x(sum of parallel sides)xheight

=>1/2x(7+15)x6

=>1/2x22x6

=>66cm²

there are two trapezium •°• 2x66=132cm²

Now,

Area of parallelogram in side of the trapezium:-

=> 5x8

=>40cm²

two parallelogram •°• 2x40

=>80cm²

Adding all areas => 80cm²+132cm²= 212cm²
