In the given diagram it states that it has a square and a isosceles triangle.

the angle c is 40

The angle of a triangle is 180°

In isosceles triangle two angles are equal.

180°-40°=140°

since. it is an isosceles triangle it should divided into equal half ,which is 70°.

so, CBD= CDB

The angle B and D are equal.

ABDE is a square which is of 180°.

so, A=B=D=E=45°

With this it is termed as

Here, EBC= CBD + EBD.

70°+45°=115°.

Therefore the answer is 115°.
