Thus, ABCD is the required square.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given;

A square with a perimeter of 40cm

For a square,all side are equal and all angle are 90degree

So,

4a=40  where a is side of square.

a=10

All side are 10cm

Following steps:-

  • Draw a line AB=10cm
  • At point A and B,draw angle 90degree  and extend line like AX and BY
  • Take measure of 10cm and cuts the AX and BY from point A and B which is known as D and C
  • Join C and D

Now ABCD is the required square.
