The diagram shows the initial diameter of a potato disc.

The potato disc was placed in a hypotonic solution for

one hour. According to the given situation. Answer the

following questions:

a) Write the phenomenon.

b) Diagrammatically show the changes that will happen

after one hour.​

Answer:

(a) if the potato disc is placed in a hypotonic solution it will do plasmolysis as the concentration of solvent is greater than the concentration of potato disk.

(b). it will start shrinking.
