Explanation:

(a) Mirror B is a convex mirror as the image formed is smaller than the object placed in front. The convex mirror always diverges the light entering it. So, whatever the position of the object may be, the image formed in the mirror is always smaller as compared to the object which is erect and virtual in nature.

(b) Mirror A is a concave mirror as the image formed is larger than the object place in front. Unlike convex mirrors, concave mirrors converge the light entering to it and form an image that is real and inverted, and also virtual and erect. Depending on the position of the object, the position of the image varies i.e., the image size increases in some cases when the object is too nearer to the mirror.
