The diameter of a circular park is 66 m .On its outside , there is a 4 m wide path ,running around it .Find the cost of turfing the path at ₹ 2.50 per square metre.

Outer Radius of the path , R = 33m

Width of the path = 4m

Inner radius of the path , r = 33 - 4 = 29m

Area of the path = ar of outer circle - ar of the inner circle

= pie R2 - pie r2

= 22/7 × (33)sq - 22/7 × (29) sq

= 22/7 × 1089 - 22/7 × 841

= 22/7 ( 1089 - 841 )

= 22/7 × 248

= Rs 779.24

Price @ Rs 2.50 / m2 = Rs 779.24 × 2.50 = Rs:- 1948.1
