EXPLANATION.

Diameter of a cylinder = 36cm.

Height of cylinder = 21cm.

As we know that,

Radius of cylinder = d/2 = 36/2 = 18cm.

Formula of :

Lateral surface area of cylinder = 2πrh.

Volume of cylinder = πr²h.

Using this formula in equation, we get.

⇒ L.S.A = 2 x 22/7 x 18 x 21.

⇒ L.S.A = 2 x 22 x 18 x 3.

⇒ L.S.A = 2376cm².

⇒ Volume = πr²h.

⇒ Volume = 22/7 x 18 x 18 x 21.

⇒ Volume = 21384cm³.

Given :-

Diameter = 36 cm

Height = 21 cm

To Find :-

LSA

Volume

Solution :-

For Radius

Radius = 36/2 = 18 cm

For LSA

\sf LSA = 2\pi rh

LSA = 2 × 22/7 × 18 × 21

LSA = 44/7 × 18 × 21

LSA = 44 × 18 × 3

LSA = 2376 cm²

For Volume

\sf Volume = \pi r^2 h

Volume = 22/7 × (18)² × 21

Volume = 22/7 × 324 × 21

Volume = 22 × 324 × 3

Volume = 66 × 324

Volume = 21384 cm³\\
