Find the total surface area and volume of cylinder?

 \bold{Formula \:  used  : }

⋆ Total surface area of cylinder = 2πr( h + r )

⋆ Volume of cylinder = πr²h

 \bold{Solution : }

Let the radius of cylinder be r .

Radius = d/2 = 14/2 = 7cm

Case 1 :

Total surface area of cylinder = 2πr( h + r )

= 2 × 22/7 × 7 ( 15 + 7 )

= 44 × 22

= 968 cm²

Hence, the total surface area of given cylinder is 968 cm².

Case 2 :

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

= 22/7 × 7² × 15

= 22/7 × 49 × 15

= 154 × 15

= 2310 cm²

Hence, the volume of given cylinder is 2310 cm².

Answer:

Given:

Height of cylinder, h = 15cm

Diameter of cylinder = 14cm

To find out:

find the total surface area and volume of cylinder?

Formula used:

Total surface area of cylinder

= 2π(h + r)

volume of cylinder = πr²h

Solutions:

Let the radius of cylinder be r.

Radius = d/2 = 14/2 = 7cm

case 1:

Total surface area of cylinder

= 2πr(h + r)

= 2 × 22/7 × (15 + 7)

= 44 × 22

= 968cm²

Hence, the total surface area of given cylinder is 986cm²

case 2:

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

= 22/7 × 7² × 15

= 22/7 × 49 × 15

= 154 × 15

= 2310cm²

Hence, the volume of given cylinder is 2310cm².
