Are of one pillar= 2πrh
= 2 × 22/7 × .12 × 3.5
= 2.64m²

Cost= 1.25 × 2.64
=Rs. 3.3

Cost of painting 12 pillars = 12 × 3.3
= Rs. 39.6

The cost of painting 12 same pillars is Rs.39.6

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter of cylinder = 24 cm

Radius of cylinder = \frac{24}{2}=12 cm=0.12 m

Height of cylinder = 3.5 m

Curved surface area of cylinder =2 \pi r h = 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 0.12 \times 3.5 =  2.64 m^2

Cost of painting 1 sq.m. = 1.25

Cost of painting 2.64 sq.m. = 1.25 \times 2.64=Rs.3.3

Cost of painting 12 pillars = 3.3 \times 12 = Rs.39.6

Hence the cost of painting 12 same pillars is  Rs.39.6
