the diameter of a roller 120 cm long is 84 cm. if it takes 1000complete revolutions to level a a playground what is the area of play ground

area covered by roller in one revolution = curved surface area of cylindrical roller

curved surface area of cylindrical roller = 2πrh    

                                                              [ in our case r = 84/2 = 42 cm and h = 120 cm ]

curved surface area of cylindrical roller =  2 × 22/7×42×120 = 31680 cm²

area of play ground = area covered in 1000 revolution =  31680 × 1000

                                                                                           = 31680000 cm²
