Diameter of sphere = 42 cm

Radius of sphere = 42/2 = 21 cm

Volume of Sphere = \frac{4}{3} \pi r^{3}

                              = \frac{4}{3} \pi (21)^{3}

Diameter of cylinder = 28 cm

Radius of cylinder = 28/2=14 cm

Volume of cylinder = \pi r^{2}h

                                = \pi (14)^{2}h

Since we are given that sphere is melted and drawn in to a cylindrical wire .

So, Volume will remain same .

\frac{4}{3} \pi (21)^{3}=\pi (14)^{2}h

12348=196h

\frac{12348}{196}=h

63=h

Thus the length of wire is 63 cm.
