Using Curve surface are = 2πr²

d1 = d/2

d2 = d/4

After solving

Ratio = 1:2

Hope its helps you

■■ Points to Remember ■■

☆ Curved Surface Area of Sphere = {4 \pi r^2}

☆ Diameter = {2 × radius = 2r}

■■ Solution ■■

Let the initial radius be "x". Then, the initial diameter will be "2x".

Now,

Ratio =

 {\mapsto \frac{4 \pi r^2}{4 \pi \frac{r}{2}}}

 {\mapsto 4:1 }

 \mathcal{ Answer \implies 4:1}
