Step-by-step explanation:

given :

The diameter of a sphere is measured to be 2.05 cm . calculate the permissible percentage error

to find :

calculate the permissible percentage error.

solution:

we know volume of sphere V = 4/3 π r

so, V = 4/3 × 3.14 × ( 1.025) = 4.508 cm

now the error equation = ∆ V / v 3 ∆ r/r = ∆

V = V × 3 ( ∆ r /r )

∆ V = 4.508 × 3 × 0.1 / 1.025 = 1.319 cm

hence percentage % error = ( ∆ V/V) × 100 %

= 0.292 × 100 % = 292 %
