Given:-

  • Diameter of a wheel cart = 280 m

To Find:-

  • Distance will the cart cover if its wheel makes 20 complete revolutions.

Formula used:-

  • {\boxed{\sf{Circumference\:of\:Circle=2\pi r}}}

Solution:-

Firstly,

\sf :\implies\:Radius = \dfrac{Diameter}{2}

\sf :\implies\:Radius = \dfrac{280}{2}

\sf :\implies\:Radius =140m

Now,

Distance travelled by wheel in one revolution:-

\sf :\implies\:Circumference\:of\:Wheel=2\pi r

\sf :\implies\:Circumference\:of\:Wheel=2\times \dfrac{22}{7}\times 140

\sf :\implies\:Circumference\:of\:Wheel=2 \times 22 \times 20

\sf :\implies\:Circumference\:of\:Wheel=880m

Now,

Distance travelled by wheel in 20 revolution:-

\sf :\implies\:880\times20

\sf :\implies\:17,600m

Hence, The Cart cover 17,600m if its wheel makes 20 complete revolutions.
