Diameter is 70cm

Revolution is 2.2km

Diameter = πd

= 22/7 × 70

= 40 cm

Revolution = 2.2 × 40

= 88

Hola !

Given,

Diameter of car wheel d = 70 cm

Revolutions of car wheel needed = ?

Provided distance to be travelled = 2.2 km

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
\textbf{Step-1: Convert the Distance to be travelled to Mts}

We know,

1 km = 1000 m = 100000 cm

2.2 km = 2.2 × 100000 cm = 220000 cm

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
\textbf{Step-2: Calculate the radius of the car wheel }

Radius,r = Diameter (d)/2

•°• r = 70/2 = 35

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
\textbf{Step-3: Find the circumference of the car wheel}

Shape of Car wheel = Circle

Circumference of Car wheel, C= 2πr

Substituting r

C = 2 ×(22/7) × 35 cm= 220 cm

From this we can conclude that

For 1 Revolution, car takes 220 cm

For ? Revolutions, car takes 220000 cm

1 ----- 220

x ------ 220000

Cross Multiply

220 x = 220000

•°• x = 1000

No. of revolutions needed by car to travel 2.2 km = 1000
