So, Volume of meltallic solid cylinder of height 2 2/3 cm(8/3 cm)= Volume of metal in the spherical shell

πr 2 × 8/3 = 4/3π(5 3 −3 3 )

4/3 × 3/8 (98)

r2 =49⇒r=7cm

Hence, diameter of the cylinder =14cm
