total volume of the sphere Vs=4/3pi(5*5*5-3*3*3) ( radius =diameter /2)
Vs=4pi*(125-27)/3
Vs=4*98/3 pi
Vs=392pi/3
heigh of cylinder h=2/3cm
let the radius =r
volume Vc=pir^2h
Vc=pir^2*2/3
their volume must be equal
Vc=Vs
2pir^2/3=392pi/3
2r^2=392
r^2=392/2
r=14cm
diameter d=rx2=14*2=28cm.
