Given :-

The diameter of the base of a right circular cylinder is 35 m.

• Its height is 21 m.

To Find :-

• What's the curved surface area of the cylinder?

Solution :-

Given that,

Diameter of the cylinder is = 35 m

Hence,

Radius of the cylinder is

= Diameter /2

= 35 /2

= 17.5 m

We know that,

CSA of a cylinder = 2πrh

Where,

r ( Radius) = 17.5 m

h ( Height) = 21 m

Now, put the given values

CSA of the given cylinder is = 2πrh

⟼ CSA of the given cylinder is

= 2 × 3.1416 × 17.5 × 21

⟼CSA \: \: of \: \: cylinder = 2310 m²

Hence, the curved surface area of the cylinder is

= 2310 m²

Know more :-

• Surface area of cylinder = 2πrh + 2πr²

• Lateral area of cylinder = 2πrh

• Base area =πr²

• Height = V/πr²

• Radius = √ (V/πh)
