The diameter of the base of a right circular cylinder is 42 cm and its height is 10 cm. Find the area of the curved surface and total surface area.

note :- please dont give me copy answer or not spam​

Solution :-

We have ,

Diameter of the bases of the cylinder = 42cm

∴ r = Radius of the bases of the cylinder = 21cm

h = Height of the cylinder = 10cm

∴ Curved surface area of the cylinder = 2πrh

= 2 × 22/7 × 21 × 10 sq.cm

= 2 × 22 × 3 × 10 sq.cm

= 1320 sq.cm

Total surface area of the cylinder = 2πr( h+r)

= 2 ×22/7 × 21 × ( 10 + 21 ) sq.cm

= 2 × 22 × 3 × 31 sq.cm

= 4092 sq.cm
