Answer:Hi,

Let the diameter of the

circular park ( D ) = 84 m

Radius of the park ( R ) = D/2

R = 84/2 = 42 m

If the width of the path outside the

park ( w ) = 3.5 m

Radius of the outside circle (r ) = R + w

r = 42 + 3.5 = 45.5 m

Area of the path ( A ) = πr² - πR²

= π(r²- R²)

= A = π(r + R ) (r - R )

= π ( R + r ) w

= ( 22 /7 ) ( 42 + 42.5 ) ( 3.5 )

A = 929.5 m²

Cost of the paving the per square

meter = Rs 200

Cost of paving total area of the path

=200 ×929.5

= Rs 185900

I hope this helps you.

:)

archanasract: you have made a mistake you should write 45.5 in place of 42.5
