The diameter of the flower bed is 56 cm. if this has to be surrounded by a path 7 cm wide, what is the area
of this path?​

Given :-

The diameter of the flower bed is 56 cm.

Length of path surrounding it is 7cm.

To find :- Area of path.

Area of flower bed (circle) = πr ^2

= 22/7 x 56 ^2

= 22/7 x 3136

= 448 cm^2.

Flower bed - Path = 56 - 7 = 49cm.

Area of reduced part = πr ^2

= 22/7 x 49 ^2

= 22/7 x 2401

= 343 cm ^2.

Area of path = Area of flower bed - Area of reduced part

= 448 - 343

Area of path= 105 cm ^2

Answer :- Area of path is 105 cm^2.
